The team was consistently nice and supportive. The house was prepared before the expected time and was clean and tidy. I’ve truly loved this vacation.

Two factors that enhanced our visit...
1) There was a bit of confusion about RV parking. Once we all got on the same page, your representative provided us with a detailed list of parking options. We really valued that extra effort.
2) After six years of renting at Daisy Duck, we finally checked out the Rec Center and absolutely loved it!

We received precisely what we anticipated for our inaugural Thanksgiving at the OBX. Sun really looked after us. There's a good chance we'll return and work with Sun once more.

Overall, the experience was quite smooth. We did reach out regarding one of the amenities that was supposed to be available but wasn’t functioning. The representative suggested we check around… which we had already done. Later that same day, we called again to follow up, and they mentioned sending someone over, but nobody ever showed up. We didn’t bother calling again after that. It felt like they didn’t really care and were just passing the responsibility. They really shouldn’t promote something as usable when it’s not. On the bright side, checking in and out was a breeze.

The house was fantastic. It was super easy to get in and out. Communication with the agent was spot on. The info sent via text and email was consistently top-notch.

The customer service was top-notch ~ the staff were super friendly and really helpful. We liked the regular check-ins, both through email and over the phone.

I really doubt they grasp what this place has in terms of wifi and TVs.

We really enjoyed our time at this house!! It would’ve been great to have some gates on the deck, and the kitchen supplies were a bit sparse, but overall, it was an incredible stay! If you're looking for oceanfront, you won't find a better spot!!

We really liked the keyless entry feature; still, I hoped the check-in process could've been smoother. They did offer an early check-in, but the earliest time was 3pm, which just ain't worth the price. So, we figured we'd roll in at 4pm; then we got a heads-up that the place was ready at 12:30pm. It would have been great to take advantage of that early access, but we couldn't swing it due to the limited early check-in option and the fact that we were driving in from out of town.

I’d really appreciate it if the house was cleaner when we got there and if the lamps were in better shape. The place itself is just the right size and layout for a couple, which is hard to come by in OBX these days with all those massive Biltmore-style homes popping up in Hatteras Colony. It’s a fantastic community for walking and biking safely. The hot tub offers a good bit of privacy, and the pool area looks nice. The carport has plenty of space for two cars, plus fishing and beach stuff, and bikes too. Finding and using the indoor and outdoor lighting switches is a breeze. This spot is a peaceful little nook in the colony. I’d love to see the homeowners and property managers come together for a dark skies initiative. Some houses are lit up like Christmas trees, with indoor and outdoor lights blazing, including pool lights, from check-in to check-out. The night skies, dunes, and bedrooms can get flooded with bright light if those lights are left on.

Sun Realty really nailed it with the details. The house was spotless, and they employed a solid cleaning and linen service. You were super friendly and supportive when I reached out with questions prior to our visit.

The cleaning crew really needs to improve. We adore this place and have been coming here for years, but... they should start with high dusting and then work their way down to the floors. It’s not a pretty sight when you spot pubic hair on the sinks and mirrors. They ought to move the bigger furniture every now and then. We found a bunch of trash left behind: a paper towel roll under the big couch, a molded chip under the smaller one, and the lamp between the couches had at least a quarter inch of dust on it. The fans haven’t been wiped down in ages. The ceiling vents are filthy. We even had someone come in to change them, but they didn’t bother to clean the metal part covered in black dust. We took it upon ourselves to clean the fan in the bunk bed room. There was trash under the master bed too: tissues and paper. The bath rugs looked dirty, like they had poop on them. We timed the crew this time, and with just two people spending 20 minutes inside, it could’ve been spotless. This place is pretty small compared to some others we’ve stayed in down there. Super disappointed!!!

The internet at our place was down for nearly 12 hours. I finally managed to get it back up after figuring out what I needed to do.

Another issue was that we didn’t get any text or notification letting us know our house was ready, and when I checked the portal, our access code was missing. Since the first time we rented with your company, I've noticed changes, and honestly, they’re not improvements.

We really dig the Outer Banks. This place was super convenient. If you’ve got any mobility challenges, getting around the house is a breeze. The only downside is that the bathroom mirror could use a swap, and the living room could definitely use some brighter lighting.

Working with Sun Realty was a breeze. However, the owner of our rental house was not very helpful when it came to fixing the screen on the sliding door, which led to a fly invasion - we ended up doing the repair ourselves. Honestly, if we had kept the HVAC running all week, I bet it would have cost more than fixing that screen! Naturally, our request for reimbursement for the screen replacement was turned down (?!??) BUT - the fantastic location (peaceful South Nags Head), stunning views, and a well-equipped, modern kitchen made it all worthwhile. Just a heads up: the twin beds were a bit too firm for the three folks who used them; the house itself (“Rush Slowly”) does feel somewhat overlooked, but come on - it’s not brand new and it’s perched on the edge of a barrier island, so we can’t be too harsh! It’s pretty impressive that it’s still standing.
